Hi All, Carley and myself are taking the next step and taking part in the Blackpool Half Marathon on Sunday 1st September. We have decided to split our fundraising between 2 charities this time, firstly is Take Heart, which is a local based charity based at Leeds General Infirmary and they use the money they raise to help make a difference for patients, relatives and staff. The charity is run on a completely voluntary basis with only a tiny percentage of raised funds used for operating expenses. Our second charity is The British Heart Foundation and is the number 1 heart charity which helps in the research of fighting heart disease. The money they raise helps to fund various research projects such as helping babies born with heart defects and preventing type 2 diabetes. We are running on behalf of the Choudhry family and also in memory of Grandad Shaw(Ron) who we sadly lost 4 years ago. Please give what you can to help raise the funds these charities need, there is no outright total to reach so anything we raise is a bonus!!
