Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. Over three years ago I had heart surgery to replace the aortic valve. The surgery was a great success and lots of people say they would never know I had even had heart surgery! However this would not be the case if it wasn't for the fantastic surgeons, doctors and nurses at Leeds General Infirmary. In the time that I was in hospital the care I received was outstanding and Take Heart made this all possible! Providing funding for the hospital, accommodation for my family and making the whole experience bearable! On the 2nd of September 2012, I will be running the BUPA Great Yorkshire Run in Sheffield. Coincidently, this is exactly 4 years to the day that I had my surgery. I am running to raise money for Take Heart to give something back for what I received, but more importantly the people that have to go through the same that I did! If it wasn't for the Take Heart Charity and everyone at Leeds General Infirmary I would not be able to do this fundraiser! I would very much appreciate if you could donate anything you can, it would mean a lot to me and of course the charity as any little amount means a lot.
