TAKE HEART Sarah, Helen and Tori Bull
Treble TrouBULL at London Marathon 2015 Hi everyone! First of all, thank you for taking your time to read our page! We are probably out training at the moment, or thinking about training or have just been training! 26th April 2015 will see all 3 of us (Sarah, Helen & Tori) at the start line of the London Marathon. For Tori it is her very first marathon, Sarah's will be her 7th and for Mum it will be her 4th. Since our Aunty Laila died from skin cancer 5 years ago now we have raised around £15,000 through various events, for RAFT. A charity close to our hearts and who have appreciated every penny we have helped raise for them and we hope that we have made a fundamental difference in the research into skin traumas such as skin cancer. We never thought we would be raising money for another cause, until New Years Day 2014. Our Dad suffered from a cardiac arrest whilst in hospital - he really was in the right place at the right time. They used a defibrillator to literally bring him back to life and he has been on the road to recovery since - only recently been given the all clear from his consultant which we are all very happy about. Our Dad spent almost 2 months in the Leeds General Infirmary where he was treated and cared for on the high dependency heart unit by staff from LGI and more importantly the Take Heart charity. They did a fantastic job in making my Dad and his many amazing friends and visitors comfortable during a very stressful and worrying time. They made everything relaxed, knowing he was being looked after by the right people really did make us all feel at ease. Even if he was a handful for them! So we thought, what better way of showing our appreciation but to run a mararthon. Not on our own, but with each other. My Mum and Sister and I will be joining hands at the start of the London Marathon and run the whole way together. Our Dad and other supporting boyfriends will be there on the sidelines cheering us on around the streets of London too! This will be a challenge for all of us, but we want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Take Heart. It will be my 25th birthday on the day and we hope to celebrate at the end by not only completing the 26.2 miles but by raising a huge amount of money. So please if you have taken the time to read this, just hit DONATE. It takes 2 minutes and you will be making a very big difference. We know that there are so many people out there asking for donations for their special causes, and we also know that every family will have their own struggles and challenges and we really do not wish the same on anyone, but you never know what life may throw at you. Thank you in advance and stay posted for our training journeys! x Sponsor the Bull Family by clicking the heart
