My husband, Barry, had a major cardiac arrest on the 12th
June, He was taken into the Yorkshire Heart Centre at LGI
Resus, then moved into Intensive Care, High Dependency
and finally on to Ward 18. There is no doubt that all those
involved helped to save my husband's life, for which we as a
family are truly grateful.
As a token of our appreciation, this is one way we can say
"Thankyou" for all the care and support that was given to us in
our time of need.
Our grandson Ben Matthews and our Son Darren Elliott are
doing the B.U.P.A.Great Yorkshire Run in Sheffield and it
would be wonderful if you could support them..

The run is over and the donations are still coming in. Pauline tells us that the original
target was £500 but it looks as if this may be doubled. Very many thanks lads.
We appreciate it very much and rest assured, the money will go to making a
difference for patients and staff at the Yorkshire Heart Centre.

Bupa Great Yorkshire Run.
We originally set ourselves a target to try and raise £500.00 to donate to the L.G.I.Take Heart Charity.
With the tremendous support that we as a family have been given by you all we have exceeded our target
and more than trebled it.!

Running total £1,214.00 (donated on line)
Total raised incl. Gift Aid: £1,316.50
Mens section at Woodhall Hills Golf Club donated £195.00
The ladies section at Woodhall Hills Golf Club donated £105.00
Ladyzone Gym at Pudsey donated £45.00
The University of Leeds, a total of £120.00
The New Inn pub at Drighlington donated £152.00
President’s Charity Day event at Woodhall Hills Golf Club on Saturday 6th. October.
For this event which the President & golf club steward allowed us to hold we raised another £245.00
The West Yorkshire Stewards golfing society presented us with a cheque on the same day, for the amount
of £138.00.
We also held a table top sale on Saturday 13th. October at St. James The Great Church. Galloway Lane,
Pudsey
There we raised another £55.25 for the Take Heart Unit with the sale of goods we had on display.
The full amount raised totals £1,754.75
